Can be made safe for allergies to dairy, soy, egg, peanut, tree nut
- 1 ½ cups flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 ½ quick oats
- 1 cup sugar
- ¾ cup safe margarine
- 1-2 cup jam
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Grease 11×17 inch pan with safe shortening.
- Mix flour, salt, baking powder, oats and sugar in a bowl.
- Cut in margarine until crumbly. Pat 2/3 of crumbs into pan. Carefully layer jam onto crumbs and top with remaining crumb mixture.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until edges are light brown.
- Cool and cut into bars.
